Art in the Garden 15th, 16th & 17th June.
Cheddar Garden Centre is delighted to be sponsoring the annual Art in the Garden
festival to be held at one of Somerset’s loveliest gardens, Stoberry Park
Wells. Local, regional, national and international sculptors, artists,
craftspeople will exhibit their work as an integral part of the garden display
for the three days between 10.30am and 5pm. All proceeds from the event are
divided equally between The Children's Hospice South West and Macmillan Cancer
Support. Tickets
The event has grown in popularity since it started in 2001 and this year
includes the open days as well as three
evening events:
Big Band Evening on the 15th June,
Relax and enjoy the sounds of Duke Ellington, The Big Phat Band, Count Basie and
Gershwin along with Latin Jazz numbers. The event starts at 6.30pm. Tickets
cost £20
a person
Operatic Cabaret on the 16th June
Lippy Lyrics present a light-heated musical evening with a fresh approach to
classical opera. Bring your own picnic and enjoy the evening overlooking the
Vale of Avalon with the spectacular vista of Wells Cathedral. The evening
starts at 7pm. Tickets cost £25 a person
A question of Gardening on the 17th June.
Enjoy a glass of wine and canapés and listen to lectures with a touch of humour
and get the garden experts to answer your questions. Stoberry Park is a
magnificent backdrop to the garden gallery and the Question of Gardening event
is going to be an enjoyable evening for all gardeners. The event starts at
5.30pm. Tickets cost £10 a person
Purchase a ticket to anyone of the events and get FREE entry on any one
of the three Art in the Garden days.
Tickets for Art in the Garden only - £6.50 per person and includes entry to the
Spring Garden Open Day on
the 29th April.
Refreshments are available during the day.
